Management Board of Daar-ul-Ḥamd Islamic Centre

The Management Board of Daar-ul-Ḥamd Islamic Centre constitutes the apex administrative and governance structure responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and institutional oversight of the Centre. It operates in accordance with the Qurʾān, the Sunnah, and the methodology of the Salaf Ṣāliḥ, and within the framework of applicable laws and best practices in faith-based institutional governance.

The Management Board is composed of two principal organs:

1. The Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the supreme fiduciary body of Daar-ul-Ḥamd Islamic Centre, entrusted with the preservation of the Centre’s vision, mission, assets, and long-term institutional integrity.

Core Responsibilities

The Board of Trustees shall:

1. Serve as the custodian of the Centre’s founding vision, objectives, and doctrinal orientation, ensuring perpetual adherence to the Qurʾān, the Sunnah, and the understanding of the Salaf Ṣāliḥ.

2. Exercise ultimate fiduciary responsibility over all endowments (awqāf), fixed assets, investment portfolios, and legacy-based resources, including waṣiyyah-derived assets.

3. Approve major strategic policies, long-term plans, constitutional amendments, and high-value financial and investment decisions.

4. Appoint, oversee, and, where necessary, discipline members of the Management Committee in accordance with established governance procedures.

5. Ensure institutional continuity, succession planning, and protection of the Centre from mission drift, mismanagement, or reputational risk.

6. Provide moral authority, strategic counsel, and institutional stability beyond day-to-day administration.

The Board of Trustees operates in a non-executive capacity, focusing on oversight, guardianship, and long-term stewardship rather than operational management.

2. The Management Committee

The Management Committee is the executive and operational organ of Daar-ul-Ḥamd Islamic Centre, charged with the implementation of policies, programmes, and strategic directives approved by the Board of Trustees.

Core Responsibilities

The Management Committee shall:

1. Oversee the day-to-day administration and operations of the Centre, including religious, educational, welfare, and community programmes.

2. Implement approved strategic plans, sustainability frameworks, and investment policies in a professional, transparent, and Sharīʿah-compliant manner.

3. Manage human, financial, and material resources efficiently, ensuring accountability and prudent utilisation.

4. Prepare periodic operational, financial, and performance reports for submission to the Board of Trustees.

5. Coordinate sub-committees, departments, and specialised units, including sustainability, finance, education, daʿwah, welfare, and Sharīʿah advisory functions.

6. Ensure compliance with internal policies, Sharīʿah standards, and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.

The Management Committee operates under the general supervision and authority of the Board of Trustees, and remains accountable to it at all times.

3. Relationship Between the Two Bodies

The relationship between the Board of Trustees and the Management Committee is founded upon clear separation of oversight and execution, mutual respect, accountability, and shared commitment to the Centre’s religious mandate and institutional sustainability.

1. The Board of Trustees provides strategic oversight, fiduciary protection, and long-term direction.

2. The Management Committee executes policies, manages operations, and delivers programmes.

3. Both bodies collaborate to ensure that Daar-ul-Ḥamd Islamic Centre remains doctrinally sound, financially resilient, administratively efficient, and socially impactful.
